Alrighty, I dont know how many read my blog (sinch I tend to post something about once every two months or less), but here's a question for you out there. How do you get motivated to do the things that you absolutely dont want to do? Its a saturday and I should be doing something fun or cleaning up, or doing something in the garden, anything. Im just not looking forward to it, Im always looking forward to sleeping or resting, prety much doing nothing. This sounds really bad, but seriously lately I have no motivation. Sometimes I just wanto quit. For those of you who dont know me, Im a part time student and a part time workaholic. My job is'nt hard but you know when the brain works a lot, you get tired, I write this from experience. Right now my life feels kinda boring, which is a little-bit Ok sinch I feel like I dont get enough rest. Or, maybe I need to go somewhere... I would love that. Anyway, I hope that you had a nice day, it was nice and sunny (finally :D). By the way, I took that pic., it was a rose that Pasha gave Nadia. Nice ha?

$ave money on GA$

I got this email from someone on how to save money when getting gas, pretty good stuff...

TIPS ON PUMPING GAS

I don't know what you people are paying for gasoline.... but here in
California we are also paying higher, up to $3.50 per gallon. But my line of work is in petroleum for about 31 years now, so here are some tricks to get more of your money's worth for every gallon..

Here at the Kinder Morgan Pipeline where I work in
San Jose , CA we deliver about 4 million gallons in a 24-hour period thru the pipeline. One day is diesel the next day is jet fuel, and gasoline, regular and premium grades. We have 34-storage tanks here with a total capacity of 16,800,000 gallons.

Only buy or fill up your car or truck in the early morning when the ground temperature is still cold. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground the more dense the gasoline, when it gets warmer gasoline expands, so buying in the afternoon or in the evening....your gallon is not exactly a gallon. In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the temperature of the gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products plays an important role.

A 1-degree rise in temperature is a big deal for this business. But the service stations do not have temperature compensation at the pumps.

When you're filling up do not squeeze the trigger of the nozzle to a fast mode. If you look you will see that the trigger has three (3)stages: low, middle, and high. In slow mode you should be pumping on low speed, thereby minimizing the vapors that are created while you are pumping. All hoses at the pump have a vapor return. If you are pumping on the fast rate, some other liquid that goes to your tank becomes vapor. Those vapors are being sucked up and back into the underground storage tank so you're getting less worth for your money.

One of the most important tips is to fill up when your gas tank is HALF FULL or HALF EMPTY. The reason for this is, the more gas you have in your tank the less air occupying its empty space. Gasoline evaporates faster than you can imagine. Gasoline storage tanks have an internal floating roof. This roof serves as zero clearance between the gas and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation. Unlike service stations, here where I work, every truck that we load is temperature compensated so that every gallon is actually the exact amount.

Another reminder, if there is a gasoline truck pumping into the storage tanks when you stop to buy gas, DO NOT fill up--most likely the gasoline is being stirred up as the gas is being delivered, and you might pick up some of the dirt that normally settles on the bottom. Hope this will help you get the most value for your money.

DO SHARE THESE TIPS WITH OTHERS!

WHERE TO BUY
USA GAS, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW. READ ON

Gas rationing in the 80's worked even though we grumbled about it. It might even be good for us! The Saudis are boycotting American goods. We should return the favor.

An interesting thought is to boycott their GAS.

Every time you fill up the car, you can avoid putting more money into the coffers of
Saudi Arabia. Just buy from gas companies that don't import their oil from the Saudis.

Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling that every time I fill-up the tank, I am sending my money to people who are trying to kill me, my family, and my friends.

I thought it might be interesting for you to know which oil companies are the best to buy gas from and which major companies import Middle Eastern oil.

These companies import Middle Eastern oil:

Shell........................... 205,742,000 barrels

Chevron/Texaco......... 144,332,000 barrels

Exxon /Mobil............... 130,082,000 barrels

Marathon/Speedway... 117,740,000 barrels

Amoco............................62,231,000 barrels

Citgo gas is from South America, from a Dictator who hates Americans. If you do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18 BILLION! (oil is now $90 - $100 a barrel

Here are some large companies that do not import Middle Eastern oil:

Sunoco..................0 barrels

Conoco..................0 barrels

Sinclair.................0 barrels

B P/Phillips............0 barrels

Hess.......................0 barrels

ARC0....................0 barrels

If you go to
Sunoco.com, you will get a list of the station locations near you.

All of this information is available from the Department of Energy and each is required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing.

But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of gas buyers. It's really simple to do.

Now, don't wimp out at this point.... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!

I'm sending this note to about thirty people. If each of you send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)...and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) .. and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers !!!!!!! If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted!

If it goes one level further, you guessed it ..... THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!!

Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people. How long would all that take

Thank You,

Brian Haynes

The new version of Mary Had a Little Lamb

Mary! had a little Lamb,
His fleece was white as snow.
And everywhere that Mary went,
The Lamb was sure to go.
He followed her to school each day,
T'wasn't even in the rule.
It made the children laugh and play,
To have a Lamb at school.
And then the rules all changed one day,
Illegal it became;
To bring the Lamb of God to school,
Or even speak His Name!
Every day got worse and worse,
And days turned into years.
Instead of hearing children laugh,
We heard gun shots and tears.
What must we do to stop the crime,
That's in our schools today?
Let's let the Lamb come back to school,
And teach our kids to pray!

The way we talk :D

Hi, how is life? how has your summer been? mine was great! Lots of blessings . There's something I wanted to share with you. I don't know if you noticed, but more and more Christians are beginning to use too many four letter words. I know you know what I mean by four letter words - cussing, profanity, and swearing. I'm the kind-of girl that is serious about those things. Can you imagine a pastor or a missionary using those words or swearing? than why is it acceptable to us normal everyday Christians?
I know one girl from a different church and I always thought of her as really nice, we are not really close friends, but whenever I see her at church we talk. Yesterday I was talking to her on the phone and she said a four letter word, immediately it changed my thinking of her. Those who are not Christians notice those things and think to themselves, "why should I become a Christian? I'm no different from them."
You are not only doing wrong in front of unchristian's but in front of God, it is sin. Read what the bible says about it:

"And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell." (James 3:6)

"If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless." (James 1:26)

" For 'He who would love life and see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit." (1Peter 3:10)

Jesus also said, "How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks." (Mathew 12:34)

So, do people say bad words because of the bad that is already inside of them?
"every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit." (Mathew 7:17-18)

What kind of fruit are you bearing? what do people hear when they hear you speak? do they think, "wow this person really loves God and does His will"? or are they wondering, "this guy/girl is a Christian and they say those words, maybe its not that bad, I can too"?

Please think of this, and take it seriously, God wants us to be holy.
If you are reading this and you are not a follower of Christ, please accept my apology for those "Christians" who do not do as God teaches.

-In love, and because I care, Vera.

PS please comment, especially if you agree, Thanks :).

Abortion

Would You Consider Abortion in These Four Situations?

1. There is a preacher and wife who are very, very poor. They already have 14 kids. Now she finds out she is pregnant with her 15th. They are living in tremendous poverty. Considering their poverty and the excessive world population, would you consider recommending abortion?

2. The father is sick with sniffles, the mother has TB. They have 4 children. The first is blind, the second is dead. The third is deaf and the fourth has TB. The mother finds she is pregnant again. Given the extreme situation, would you recommend abortion?

3. A man raped a 13 year old black girl and she got pregnant. If you were her parents, would you consider recommending abortion?

4. A teenage girl is pregnant. She is not married. Her fiancee is not the father of the baby, and he is very upset. Would you recommend an abortion?

If you have answered “yes” to any of these situations:

In the first case you would have killed John Wesley, one of the great evangelists of the 19th century.

In the second case, you would have killed Beethoven.

In the third case you would have killed Ethel Waters, the great black gospel singer.

In the fourth case you would have recommended the murder of Jesus Christ.

With U. S. abortion deaths topping 30 million, only God knows what we have sacrificed in lost human talent and creativity.

What Does Salvation Mean for Me?

This is a lesson that I am doing from a book, I hope you will find it interesting, just as I did:

What I Was:
Ephesians 2:1 - I was spiritually dead in trespasses and sins.
John 3:18 - I was condemned already.
John 3:36 - I had the wrath of God abiding on me.
Romans 6:17 - I was a slave of sin.
Revelation 20:15 - I was headed for the lake of fire.
Luke 19:10 - I was lost, yet sought by Jesus.

What God Promised Me:
Romans 6:23 - The gift of eternal life.
Colossians 1:14 - The forgiveness of sins.
Titus 2:11 - Salvation through His grace.
Ephesians 3:17; John 14:23 - To dwell in my heart.
Ephesians 3:19 - The love of Christ which passeth knowledge.
John 5:11 - The joy of Jesus Christ.
Philippians 4:7 - The peace of God, which passeth all understanding.

What I Did:
Romans 10:13 - I called upon the name of the Lord.
Romans 10:9 - I confessed with my mouth.
John 1:12 - I believed Him (Jesus Christ).
Acts 17:30 - I repented of my sins.

What God Did:
Romans 3:24 - Justified me freely.
Revelation 1:5 - Washed me from my sins.
Revelation 21:27 - Secured my name in the Lamb's Book of Life.
Romans 8:14, 15 - Adopted me as a son (child) of God.
Ephesians 1:6 - Accepted me in the Beloved.
1Corinthians 6:11 - Sanctified me.
2Corinthians 5:17 - Made me a new creation.

Definitions:
Repentance: a change of attitude resulting in a change of action (about sin).
Justification: to be declared "as not guilty."
Sanctification: to be "set apart" by God and for God.
Grace: undeserved (unmerited) favor.

Memory Verse

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
John 1:12-13

In April 20, 1999 Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold killed 13 people at Columbine High School.

The New School Prayer

Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule.

For this great nation under God

Finds mention of Him very odd.

If Scripture now the class recites,

It violates the Bill of Rights.
And any time my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.

Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's the freedom scene.

The law is specific, the law is precise.

Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.

For praying in a public hall

Might offend someone with no faith at all.

In silence alone, we must meditate;

God's name is prohibited by the State.

We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,

And pierce our noses, tongues, and cheeks.

They've outlawed guns but FIRST the Bible.

To quote the Good Book makes me liable.

We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,

And the unwed daddy, our Senior King.

It's "inappropriate" to teach right from wrong,

We're taught that such "judgments" do not belong.

We can get our condoms and birth controls,

Study witchcraft, vampires, and totem poles.
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed;

No Word of God must reach this crowd.

It's scary here, I must confess.

When chaos reigns, the school's a mess.

So, Lord, this silent plea I make:

Should I be shot, my soul, please take.

This poem was written by Mark Taylor, a Columbine
survivor who was one of the first students shot.

Stand up for Jesus

This is a true story of something that happened just a few years ago at USC.

There was a professor of philosophy there who was a deeply committed atheist. His primary goal for one required class was to spend the entire semester to prove that God couldn't exist. His students were always afraid to argue with him because of his impeccable logic. Sure, some had argued in class at times, but no one had ever really gone against him because of his reputation.

At the end of every semester on the last day, he would say to his class of 300 students, "If there is anyone here who still believes in Jesus, stand up!" In twenty years, no one had ever stood up. They knew what he was going to do next. He would say, "Because anyone who believes in God is a fool. If God existed, he could stop this piece of chalk from hitting the ground and breaking. Such a simple task to prove that He is God, and yet He can't do it." And every year, he would drop the chalk onto the tile floor of the classroom and it would shatter into a hundred pieces.
All of the students would do nothing but stop and stare. Most of the students thought that God couldn't exist. Certainly, a number of Christians had slipped through, but! for 20 years, they had been too afraid to stand up.

Well, a few years ago there was a freshman who happened to enroll.
He was a Christian, and had heard the stories about his professor.
He was required to take the class for his major, and he was afraid.
But for three months that semester, he prayed every morning that he would have the courage to stand up no matter what the professor said, or what the class thought. Nothing they said could ever shatter his faith...he hoped.

Finally, the day came. ! The professor said, "If there is anyone here who still believes in God, stand up!" The professor and the class of
300 people looked at him, shocked, as he stood up at the back of the classroom. The professor shouted, "You FOOL!!! If God existed, he would keep this piece of chalk from breaking when it hit the ground!"

He proceeded to drop the chalk, but as he did, it slipped out of his fingers, off his shirt cuff, onto the pleat of his pants, down his leg, and off his shoe. As it hit the ground, it simply rolled away unbroken. The professor's jaw dropped as he stared at the chalk. He looked up at the young man, and then ran out of the lecture hall.

The young man who had stood, proceeded to walk to the front of the room and shared his faith in Jesus for the next half hour. 300 students stayed and listened as he told of God's love for them and of His power through Jesus.

Stand up for Jesus, everyday! Don't forget to pray about it like the freshman did.

Storms

A little girl walked daily to and from school. Though the weather that morning was questionable and clouds were forming, she made her daily trek to the elementary school. As the afternoon progressed, the winds whipped up, along with thunder and lightning. The mother of the little girl felt concerned that her daughter would be frightened as she walked home from school, and she herself feared that the electrical storm might harm her child. Following the roar of thunder, lightning, like a flaming sword, would cut through the sky. Full of concern, the mother quickly got into her car and drove along the route to her child's school. As she did so, she saw her little girl walking along, but at each flash of lightning, the child would stop, look and smile. Another and another were to follow quickly, each with the little girl stopping, looking at the streak of light and smiling. Finally, the mother called her over to the car and asked, "What are you doing?" The child answered, "God just keeps taking pictures of me."

"And a little child shall lead them..."
Lord, help me to trust You as much as this little one, especially when the storms of life crash around me.

I got this from Brian, a really cool friend.

Knowledge of our Lord

Those who trust in the LORD
Are like Mount Zion,
Which cannot be moved, but abides forever.
Psalm 125:1

This week has been a little tuff with school. Prayer would be great! I was reading 2 Peter chapter one and there were some really interesting things there.

"add to your faith
virtue,
to virtue knowledge,
to knowledge self-control,
to self-control perseverance,
to perseverance godliness,
to godliness brotherly kindness,
and to brotherly kindness love."
2Peter 1:5-7

Look at what the next verse 8 says:

For if these things are yours and abound,
you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Verse 9 is the one that shocks me:

For he who lacks these things is
shortsighted, even to blindness,

and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.

So, if all those things listed above are so important, we must check that we do all that, if not, then work on changing, with Gods help.

virtue : moral excellence; goodness; righteousness; chastity; virginity
knowledge: acquaintance with facts, truths, or principles, as from study or investigation
self-control: control or restraint of oneself or one's actions, feelings
perseverance: steady persistence in a course of action, a purpose, a state, etc., esp. in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement.
godliness: conforming to the laws and wishes of God

and don't forget brotherly kindness and love, which are easy to understand. :)
